The measurement of carbon stocks in the Avoided Conversion Cerrado REDD Program assess three carbon pools: above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass and, soil organic carbon (SOC). Three variables were used to estimate the soil carbon content: bulk density, organic carbon content and soil depth. The samples were collected by digging until 30 cm of soil at the stipulated points, and the samples were sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis of the main components. For each sampling point, the corresponding carbon stock was calculated using the equation from Veldkamp, 1994."},"citation:datasetContact":{"citation:datasetContactName":"Brazil, ERA","citation:datasetContactEmail":"yanka@erabrazil.com"},"citation:depositor":"Brazil, ERA","dateOfDeposit":"2023-08-24","subject":["Agricultural Sciences","Earth and Environmental Sciences"],"citation:notesText":"ERA launched the REDD Cerrado Program to avoid the planned, legal deforestation of the Brazil's second largest biome, Cerrado biome.
