The measurement of carbon stocks in the Avoided Conversion Cerrado REDD Program assess three carbon pools: above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass and, soil organic carbon (SOC). Three variables were used to estimate the soil carbon content: bulk density, organic carbon content and soil depth. The samples were collected by digging until 30 cm of soil at the stipulated points, and the samples were sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis of the main components. For each sampling point, the corresponding carbon stock was calculated using the equation from Veldkamp, 1994.</dcterms:description><dcterms:subject>Agricultural Sciences</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>Earth and Environmental Sciences</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>Soil carbon stock</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>REDD+ Project</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>VCS Standard</dcterms:subject><dcterms:subject>Cerrado biome</dcterms:subject><dcterms:isReferencedBy>This dataset are part of studies on the Avoided Conversion Cerrado Program., url, Avoided Conversion Cerrado, https://registry.verra.org/app/projectDetail/VCS/2465</dcterms:isReferencedBy><dcterms:date>2023-09-15</dcterms:date><dcterms:contributor>Brazil, ERA</dcterms:contributor><dcterms:dateSubmitted>2023-08-24</dcterms:dateSubmitted><dcterms:spatial>Goiás</dcterms:spatial><dcterms:spatial>Brazil</dcterms:spatial><dcterms:spatial>Niquelândia</dcterms:spatial><dcterms:license>CC BY 4.0</dcterms:license></metadata>
